We support Solvatten®

Instead of requiring our customers to decide about carbon offsetting for each transport, we at Fraktlogistik simply choose to offset the emissions for all the services booked through us. Our carbon offsetting works by investing in a water project with Solvatten® – the emissions from our transports are calculated and then converted into the amount of water that needs to be purified which counts as the compensation

Today nearly two billion people lack electricity and access to clean warm water in their homes. One way to purify water is by boiling it with wood or coal. The UN’s sustainable development goals aim for everyone to have access to safe drinking water by 2030, but innovations are needed that both are climate friendly and create real change. 

Fraktlogistik has chosen this goal as one we want to contribute to by supporting Solvatten® project. Solvatten® is already used by 410,000 people in 40 countries around the world providing access to clean and warm water

WHAT IS Solvatten?

Solvatten® Solar Safe Water System a Swedish innovation that purifies water using solar energy. After a few houers in the sun the water is free from bacteria that cause diarrheal diseases such as dysentery and cholera.

A major difference compared to other water purification methods is that the water is simultaneously heated and can reach temperatures up to 75C°. This saves energy, money and benefits the environment.
